Gmail is used by all Android smartphone users. You can avail the service of Google Play Store in Android smartphone only through Gmail. In such a situation, if your Gmail account remains logged in by mistake, then your phone can also be accessed remotely. - First of all, go to myaccount.google.com in the browser of your PC or phone.
- Here navigate to Security option and scroll down.
- After this, go to the Devices tab and click on Manage All Devices.
- Here you will see all the devices where you have logged in to your Gmail.
- If you see any device in this list which is not yours, then click on it and log out.
- After this reset your Gmail password.
Check Gmail activity
- For this you will have to log in to your Gmail account on your PC.
- Then you go to Gmail’s mail list and scroll down and click on Details.
- Here a new window will open, where details like IP address, access type etc. will be visible.
If you notice any suspicious activity in your Gmail account, then change your Gmail password and secure the account.
Apart from this, you can also check the misuse of your Gmail account. If you want to check whether your Gmail account is being used incorrectly on any website or app, then follow the steps given below.
- First of all, go to the browser of your PC or mobile and open myaccount.google.com.
- After this you click on the security option.
- Here scroll down to the Sign in on other sites section.
- Then click on the option of signing in with Google.
You can remove the apps and websites on which you are logged in with Gmail from here. If you see any such website or app, remove it immediately.
