Crores of WhatsApp users are soon going to get relief from fake calls and messages. One such special feature is being tested for Meta’s instant messaging platform. This feature will stop fake calls and messages coming on WhatsApp. Also, it will secure your personal data and protect it from cyber attacks. This feature has recently been seen in the beta version. This feature of WhatsApp can be rolled out in the name of ‘Strict Account Settings’.
Spotted in beta version
According to the report of WABetaInfo, this feature of WhatsApp has been seen in Android version 2.25.33.4. This feature will further improve the security of the user’s WhatsApp account. In this feature, messages or calls coming from any unknown number can be limited. Because of this, if a hacker sends you fake messages again and again, you will not be able to receive them. This feature of WhatsApp is being introduced to make the communication of the instant messaging app secure.
Strict Accounts Settings
In view of the increasing incidents of cyber attacks these days, Meta is testing this feature. This feature has been seen in Android beta version with the name of Strict Accounts Settings mode. WABetaInfo has shared a screenshot of this feature, in which this feature can be seen. Apart from messages and calls, options like media and attachments, link preview disabled, silence unknown calls, groups, two-step verification will be available in Strict Accounts settings. Users will be able to secure their WhatsApp as per their convenience.
This feature of WhatsApp will help the user in making their account more secure. Users can set the options given in this mode as per their convenience. In such a situation, calls, messages, attachments and links etc. coming from unknown numbers can be disabled. According to the report, this will be an advanced security feature of WhatsApp, which will protect users from cyber attacks. At present, no official announcement has been made regarding when this feature will be rolled out.
