Easy way to remove smell from quilt blanket
Winter has started and quilts and blankets have started coming out in homes. But people are avoiding wearing it. The reason is the foul smell coming from it. It is often seen that quilts and blankets kept in cupboards start emitting foul smell due to which people are very afraid of using them. Due to its foul smell, people also have difficulty in sleeping. People find cleaning quilts and blankets a very difficult task. But now there is nothing to worry about. Here we have brought easy hacks for you, with the help of which you can easily clean the quilt blanket.
Use baking soda
Baking soda works great at absorbing odors. For this, spread the quilt/blanket on a flat place. Sprinkle baking soda thoroughly on it. Leave it like this for 30 minutes to 1 hour. When the time is up, brush it off with a clean brush or clean it with a vacuum cleaner. All the smell and dust will disappear along with the baking soda.
white vinegar
White vinegar is also considered helpful in removing smell. For this, mix equal amounts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray this solution lightly on the quilt/blanket (do not wet it, just make it slightly damp). Let it dry in an airy place. If you want fragrance, you can also add 4-5 drops of lavender or tea tree oil in this solution.
use camphor
Camphor proves helpful in removing the smell of moisture and dampness. In such a situation, if you are storing the quilt/blanket, then keep dry neem leaves or camphor tablets with it before keeping it in the cover. Or, grind camphor, tie it in a thin cloth bundle and place it inside/in the middle of the quilt and leave it for a few hours. This will remove the smell.
essential oil
You can also use essential oil to remove odor from quilts and blankets. For this, add 4-5 drops of lavender or tea tree oil in a spray bottle filled with water and then spray this mixture lightly on the quilt or clothes. This will freshen the quilt and blanket immediately.
