The company is soon to roll out the new originos 6 update, which is based on the Android 16 operating system. The company was giving funtouchos till now in the Vivo and IQO phones launched in India. The phones launched this year will come with new originos. The company was still using this operating system in the model launched only in China.
What is Originos?
This customized operating system for Vivo and IQO’s phones was launched in 2020. The company was using this OS only in Chinese variants. Now the company has decided to use it in global variants as well. Its latest variant originos 6 will soon be rolled out in India. It is based on Android 16. The company will first roll it out for its premium devices. After this it will be rolled out for mid -budget phone.
When will it be launched?
Vivo India has confirmed that this operating system will be rolled out in mid -October i.e. by October 15, it will be released for Vivo and Iqu’s premium smartphones. Its beta version will soon be rolled out for app developers. The company will roll out it out by redesting the user interface and fixing the bugs on the basis of feedback.

Origile OS 6
Recently, Vivo has confirmed that the company’s upcoming flagship phones Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro will be the first phones to be launched in India with this new operating system. Apart from this, this new operating system will also be used in IQO 15 series. The company can roll it out next month for its old flagship phone Vivo X200 Series and IQoo 13.
What is special?
Originos has seen a better user interface than funtouchos. It has also upgraded the app icon to the widget and privacy feature. Originos 6 will get a better design than the Android 15 based user interface launched last year. During multitasking, the feature that easily switching the app will be available in it.
According to the community post of Originos, the privacy feature has also been upgraded in it. Not only this, in the app icon you will get to see changes compared to Funtouchos. Soon, it will be rolled out for developers, so that they can overcome their bugs and problems before the stable version is launched.
