MUMBAI: Aligarh-based social activist Shazia Siddiqui will be conferred with state-level award by the government of Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3, 2025).She will be honoured in the category of “Effective Product Development for Persons with Disabilities” for her impactful initiatives that promote independence and dignity among differently-abled individuals.The award will be conferred by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at a grand state ceremony in Lucknow.For several years, Siddiqui has been working through the Azad Foundation Society, providing skill development training, self-employment support, product exhibition opportunities, and market linkages to persons with disabilities across the region. Her efforts have helped numerous families move toward economic stability and social inclusion.“This honour is a matter of immense pride for me. It is not only my achievement but also a recognition of every differently-abled person who is striving to create their own identity through courage and hard work. This award motivates me to continue serving society with greater commitment,” Siddiqui said.
