Samsung Galaxy AI Features
Samsung has made millions of its Galaxy smartphone users happy. The South Korean company has confirmed that basic Galaxy AI features will be offered for lifetime free in Galaxy smartphones. However, to use premium features, users may have to shell out some money. Basic AI features including image editing, basic accessibility AI features will be offered to the users for free.

The company offers Galaxy AI features in its premium Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series phones. In these phones, users will continue to get basic AI features lifetime. While launching Galaxy AI, the brand had confirmed that by 2025, AI features will be offered to the users as complimentary for free. After this, users were indicated to be charged for this. However, now the company has confirmed that no charge will be taken from the users for basic AI features.
Samsung has confirmed that apart from the basic features, if a user wants to use advanced AI features in Galaxy phones, then they will have to take a monthly, quarterly or yearly plan because Samsung’s Galaxy AI feature is based on a third party i.e. Google Gemini. Google charges users for this. Apart from this, the company has also hinted that advanced and next generation AI features can be found in the upcoming Galaxy S26 series.
These features will remain free
Galaxy AI features are listed under Advanced Intelligence Services in the Samsung Terms and Conditions of Service. Talking about basic free AI features, these include communication tools such as live translator, interpreter, chat assist and transcript system. Apart from these, features like Note Assist, Writing Assist, Browsing Assist, Now Brief and Photo Assist will also be available for free in Galaxy devices.
Talking about advanced features, Pro features of Google Gemini are included in these. Since Samsung Galaxy AI is completely based on Google Gemini, users may have to take a subscription plan for premium AI features.
