Samsung has launched the world’s first 2nm technology chipset. This mobile chipset of the South Korean company can be used in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series. This chipset will be better in multitasking than the current 3nm chipset. Its speed will be tremendous and it will be able to run AI models easily. In this, CPU i.e. Central Processing Unit, GPU i.e. Graphics Processing Unit and NPU i.e. Neural Processing Unit have been integrated together.
World’s first 2nm chip
This 2nm chip of Samsung has been introduced under the name of Exynos 2600. The South Korean company was working on this chip for the last few years. The company has announced this before the launch of the Galaxy S26 series. It can be showcased at CES 2026 to be held next month. This chipset of Samsung will be much faster than the Exynos 2500 introduced last year. Not only this, it can also be faster than the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
AI integrated chip
Describing the features of this chipset, the South Korean company said that this processor has been designed with the company’s 2nm GAA fabrication process. It has a proprietary CPU, which has eight cores. The architecture of this chip has a C1 Ultra core, which can generate a maximum speed of up to 3.8GHz. Apart from this, it has three C1 Pro cores, whose maximum speed is 3.25GHz. Not only this, it has 6 C1 Pro cores, whose maximum speed is 2.75GHz.
superfast multitasking
The company claims that Galaxy devices working on this processor can support LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It has the company’s Xclipse 960 octacore GPU, which is equipped with ARMv9.3 architecture and AI engine. It is a single integrated chipset with GPU, CPU and NPU. Samsung said in its blog that it has 113 percent better generative AI performance compared to Exynos 2500. This new chip will be able to sport a 320MP single camera or 64MP + 32MP dual camera and record 8K resolution video at 30fps at 108MP.
