Realme Oppo Integration: According to reports, Realme is reuniting with Oppo after almost seven years when it made its mark as an independent company. According to the report, the Chinese smartphone maker is integrating with Oppo to share resources across various functions and reduce cost overlap. With this move, Realme will reportedly work with OnePlus again as a sub-brand of Oppo. The company’s founder and CEO, Sky Li, has been appointed to oversee the overall operations of the sub-brand. However, the financial terms of the merger have not been disclosed.
Realme will become a sub-brand of Oppo
According to Lei Feng Network, Realme is all set to become a sub-brand of Oppo and this is being done for the benefits to be gained through this collaboration. Citing Oppo’s internal source, this publication has claimed that in future, Realme and OnePlus will strategically work together with the parent brand to create a different market strategy. An immediate result of the merger is said to be the integration of services into Oppo after the sale of Realme.
Will Realme phones be switched off?
Even now Realme phones will come in the market and they will not stop because even after the coming together of both the companies, Realme will continue to work as a sub-brand of Oppo. These two companies have basically come together for the purpose of cost saving and combined integration.
Both brands will continue to sell the phones under different names
According to the report, this integration will bring Realme’s operations closer to Oppo’s current commercial structure. However, both brands are expected to continue selling the phones under different names. Realme smartphones are sold extensively in India, South East Asia and Europe. It has created a strong presence in these markets, especially in value-centric devices. Especially it has got good recognition in the mid-segment and budget segment and users of phones in this segment are attracted to buy its handsets.

Realme was originally founded in May 2018 as an independent brand by separating from Oppo. However, in July 2018, Sky Lee resigned from his position at the company to establish Realme as an independent venture. Since then the company has been working outside the influence of Oppo.
