You can prepare and eat porridge in many ways. People like to eat milk porridge. For this, first soak the porridge in water and then cook it for a while in water only. Now add milk to the porridge and cook it until the milk and porridge mix well. Eat porridge by adding jaggery or sugar on top.
Salty Porridge Recipe
If you like to eat salty porridge with vegetables, then wash the porridge with water and then add 2 spoons of desi ghee in the cooker. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds and finely chop favorite vegetables like potatoes, onions, tomatoes, beans, peas, carrots, capsicum, corn. Fry lightly, now add turmeric, salt and 1 pinch of black pepper to the vegetables, add soaked porridge and mix. Like rice, add water to the cooker and cook the porridge for 2-3 whistles. Serve the porridge by adding green coriander on top.
