Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday unveiled the Meta Ray-ban Display Smart Glasses priced at $ 799, which is the company’s first smart glass that includes a built-in digital display. According to CNBC news, these glasses are the best confluence of classic ray-ban design and sophisticated technology, which facilitates smart control to users through hand gestures. Zuckerberg described it as the world’s first AI glass with high quality display and a fully capable meta neural band.
What is Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses
The Meta Ray-Ban display glasses consists of a small, high-resolution digital display, which can be controlled by an EMG Waristband called Meta Neural Band. This band, with the help of neural technology, considers various functions of glasses, considering hand gestures. Users can watch videos through this display, read text messages and also send answers. The display is seen only during use, causing no obstruction in view.
Sale started in America from 30 September
The sale of Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses will start in the US from 30 September. On this occasion, Meta has also introduced Oakley Meta Vanguard Smart Glasses, especially for high-intensity sports such as snowboarding, mountain biking. Their price is kept at $ 499 and will be available from October 21. Oakley Meta Vanguard Glasses includes easy photos and video capture buttons for players wearing helmets with sporty design, 9 hours of battery life, 3K video recording and better speaker. Ray-BAN META (Gen 2) glasses have also been launched, priced at $ 379. This new model comes with double battery life (8 hours) and 3K Ultra HD camera support compared to the previous version.
