Do you like spicy food? If yes, then onion curry can be included in the list of your favorite dish. To make this vegetable, you will neither need much time nor will you need many fancy ingredients. First step- First of all, peel and wash 4 onions. Now if you want, you can cut the onion in any size.
Second step- You have to prepare a coarse paste by putting one inch piece of ginger, 8 garlic cloves and 3 green chillies in the mixer. After this, turn on the gas and take out one or two spoons of oil in a pan.
Third step- Now you have to let one spoon cumin and half spoon mustard crackle in hot oil and then add 8-10 curry leaves to it. After this, add coarse paste of ginger, garlic and green chilli to this mixture.
Fourth step- Now you have to add onion to this paste and then fry it on medium flame for about 2 minutes. After the onion becomes a little soft, you have to mix half spoon turmeric powder, half spoon red chilli powder and one spoon coriander powder in it and cover the pan.
Fifth step- After about 2 minutes, you can add a bowl of tomato puree and salt to this mixture. Now cover the pan again and keep it aside for about 5 minutes.
Sixth step- Finally you have to add 2 spoons of curd and 1/4 spoon of garam masala in this mixture. Cook the onion curry for some time and then turn off the gas and add finely chopped coriander to it.
Your onion curry is ready to serve. You can serve this vegetable with roti or paratha. Believe me, you will like the taste of onion curry so much that you will want to make this dish again and again.
