This taste of spiciness, sourness and mild sweetness not only appeals to the taste buds, but also doubles the pleasure of eating in the chill of winter. Homemade radish pickle is rich with the aroma of fresh radish, spices and mustard oil. Let us know today the easy recipe of this delicious radish pickle made in winter.

Ingredients for making radish pickle:

Radish 400 grams, green chilli 300 grams, yellow mustard 3 tablespoons, black mustard 3 tablespoons, coriander 3 tablespoons, cumin 1 tablespoon, fennel 3 tablespoons, fenugreek 1 tablespoon, carom seeds half tablespoon, nigella seeds 1 tablespoon, asafoetida 1 teaspoon, turmeric powder half tablespoon, chili powder 2 tablespoons, mustard oil 1 cup, dried mango powder half tablespoon, salt. as per taste

Method to make radish pickle:

  • first step: First of all take 400 grams radish and wash it thoroughly in water and then dry it and peel it well. Now cut the radish into long shapes. You can give any shape of your choice.

  • second step: In the next step, take 300 grams long less spicy green chillies. Wash them and remove the stalk, make a slit in the middle and cut them into two pieces in long shape.

  • Third step: Now, dry both of them in the sun for 4 to 5 hours so that their moisture gets removed. Because if there is any water left in them then the pickle starts spoiling quickly.

  • Fourth step: Now turn on the gas and place a pan on it. When the pan is hot, add yellow mustard 3 tablespoons, black mustard 3 tablespoons, coriander 3 tablespoons, cumin 1 tablespoon, fennel 3 tablespoons and fenugreek 1 tablespoon and fry well until it turns golden.

  • fifth Step: Now, after the spices are roasted, put them in a mixer jar and grind them coarsely. And take them out in a big plate. Now add half a tablespoon of carom seeds, 1 tablespoon of nigella seeds, 1 tablespoon of asafoetida, turmeric powder, 2 tablespoons of chili powder and mix them well.

  • Sixth step: Now place a pan back on the gas and add 1 cup mustard oil in it. When the oil becomes hot, add the spice mixture and mix well.

  • Seventh step: Now add radish and green chillies to this mixture and mix well. Finally add mango powder masala and one spoon vinegar to it. Radish pickle is ready. By putting it in an air tight container, it can be used comfortably for a year.
