Today we have brought for you the recipe of Maharashtra’s famous snack Bhakarwadi. Most people like to eat this namkeen with evening tea. This snack tastes sweet and salty. Almost everyone likes its crisp and crispy taste. To make Bhakarwadi, spices are stuffed in the middle and it is deep fried until it turns golden. You can make this tasty snack in 30 minutes. Ingredients for Bhakarwadi

Flour – 3 cups, gram flour – half cup, oil 1/2 tablespoon, gram flour – 1 teaspoon, sesame – 1 teaspoon, poppy seeds – 1 teaspoon, ginger – 1 teaspoon, garlic – grated, sugar – 1 1/2 teaspoon, red chili powder – 3 teaspoon, garam masala – 1/4 teaspoon, salt as per taste, coriander seeds – 1 tsp, dry coconut – 1 tbsp, oil – 1/2 cup finely chopped sev

Method to make Bhakarwadi?

  • To make Bhakarwadi, first mix flour, gram flour, oil and salt together.

  • Now add water little by little and knead the dough soft. When the dough is kneaded, cover it with a wet cloth and keep it aside.

  • Now to prepare the filling, turn on the gas and take a pan, add sesame seeds, poppy seeds, fennel and coriander and fry them well.

  • Now heat some oil in a separate pan and add cumin, ginger, garlic and fry for a few seconds.

  • Now add coconut, sev, sugar, gram flour and salt and add roasted spices and mix well.

  • In the next step, take the dough and roll it into thin chapatti. Now spread the stuffing on the chapatti.

  • Roll the chapatti and press its edges downwards.

  • Now cut this roll into 1 inch pieces. Once these are cut, fry them until they become crisp and golden.

  • Your Bhakarwadi is ready. You can store it for several days by keeping it in an airtight container.
