Bathua parathas- For your information, let us tell you that to make nutrient-rich Bathua parathas, you will need 2 cups of wheat flour, 4 cups of Bathua leaves, half teaspoon cumin powder, half teaspoon ground celery, a pinch of asafoetida, 2 finely chopped green chillies, a little red chilli, salt, oil and water.
Very easy recipe- First of all, put clean Bathua leaves in half a cup of water to boil. Keep in mind that you should not boil the Bathua leaves too much. When the boiled Bathua leaves cool down, you have to squeeze the water out of the leaves thoroughly. Grind the Bathua leaves a little in a mixer. In a bowl, mix salt, cumin powder, celery, asafoetida, green chillies and red chillies along with ground Bathua leaves. To make parathas, knead soft dough. To knead the dough, instead of plain water, you have to use water containing Bathua leaves. You can also add a little salt and oil to the flour.
Tasty and healthy- Make a ball from the dough and then roll it. Place a spoon of the prepared mixture in the middle of the dough and close it. Now apply dry flour and roll the dough with light hands. Apply ghee on the pan and cook the Bathua Paratha from both the sides. You can enjoy hot Bathua Paratha by serving it with chutney, curd, pickle or tea.
