What not to eat to lose weight
The journey of weight loss becomes boring when people follow diet and do exercise, but still do not see results. Many people do not understand that but some eating habits and things that seem healthy silently derail weight loss. Board-Certified Bariatric and General Surgeon Dr. Rizwan Chaudhary In one of his Instagram posts, he has told about such things which gradually increase your weight.
Exclude these four things from the diet:
-
Vegetable and seed oils: According to Dr. Chaudhary, a major cause of obesity is oils like canola, soybean, corn and grapeseed. These are actually industrial oils which increase inflammation in the body, damage the liver and increase fat storage. Instead of these, use natural fats like ghee, butter, olive oil or avocado oil.
-
Afternoon or evening coffee: Coffee at 3-4 pm gives instant energy, but it can be harmful for weight loss. Dr. Chaudhary explains that consuming caffeine late in the day increases stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline in the body. The body gets a signal to store fat. Sleep is impaired, due to which the metabolism is not reset properly. As a result, weight loss slows down.
-
Liquor: Even a small amount of alcohol can cause huge harm to weight loss. Alcohol can slow weight loss progress by up to 50%. The risk of regaining lost weight increases. If you give up alcohol even for 1–2 months, your energy level will improve. Sleep will improve and weight will start reducing again
-
Store-Bought Salad Dressing: Salad seems healthy, but ready-made dressing can make it harmful. Most dressings contain seed oil, hidden sugars and chemicals. These increase fat storage by spiking insulin.
