India Tennis Player Sania Mirza: After India’s famous tennis player Sania Mirza, the country can now find another star player in this game. Sania has waved India’s glory all over the world in tennis. Sania Mirza has been a world number 1 player in Women’s Doubles. In singles, Sania achieved the best ranking of her career till World No. 27. At the same time, Sania Mirza, while talking to PTI, has described India’s emerging young player Maya Rajeshwaran Revathi as the new face of India. The age of this young player of India is only 16 years.
India’s next Sania Mirza?
India’s star player Sania Mirza spoke to PTI and talked about the future of tennis. Sania named two emerging players of the country Srivalli Rashmika Bhamidipati and Maya Rajeswaran Revathi. Sania Mirza said that both Srivalli and Maya are players of different ages. Srivalli is bigger than Maya, but Maya looks more potential.
Sania Mirza further said that after a long time, the question has come out that who is coming after me now and I feel good to know that finally a 15-16 year old girl can do this. I want Maya to be fed in his edge group, not to put it in the next group. Sania further said that as we saw in Billie Jean King Cup, this tournament girls showed a lot of spirit, which happened early this year itself. Srivalli and all the other girls also performed better in this tournament.
Maya Rajeshwaran Revathi
India’s 16 -year -old young player Maya Rajeswaran Revathi is currently playing at the junior level. The ranking of this player’s International Tennis Federation (ITF) in 2024 where 92 was, now these young players have come to 55 in ITF Junior Rankings this year by September 2025. This player achieved the best ranking of his career so far in August.
