How to make Chyawanprash?

A good amount of nutrients are found in Chyawanprash, which can prove to be very beneficial for your overall health. For your information, let us tell you that to make Chyawanprash at home, you will need 500 grams of Amla, 2 tablespoons of desi ghee, jaggery or honey, one teaspoon cardamom powder, half teaspoon cinnamon powder, half teaspoon dry ginger powder, half teaspoon peepli powder and one-fourth teaspoon black pepper powder.

Recipe of Chyawanprash- Wash all the gooseberries thoroughly. Now you have to boil them in the cooker. After 2-3 whistles you can turn off the gas. When the gooseberries cool down, remove their seeds. Put boiled gooseberries in a mixer and grind them coarsely. Keep in mind that you do not have to add water to the gooseberry paste. After this, add oil or desi ghee in a thick bottomed pan and turn on the gas.

Follow this procedure- You have to add amla paste in hot ghee and then fry it well on medium flame. When the color of the gooseberry paste becomes light brown or when the paste starts leaving the sides of the pan, then you can add melted jaggery or honey to it. Cook this mixture while stirring for some time on low flame. When the mixture starts thickening, then you have to add cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, dry ginger powder, peepli powder and black pepper powder to it.

You will get only benefits- Now you have to cook Chyawanprash for about 5-7 minutes. As soon as the texture of this mixture becomes thick like Chyawanprash, you can turn off the gas. You can use a glass jar to store Chyawanprash. When Chyawanprash cools down, you have to fill it in a dry glass container. Eat one spoon Chyawanprash daily and strengthen your health.
