Easy home remedies to get rid of bedbugs

baking soda

Sprinkle baking soda around possible hiding places for bedbugs (bed corners, cracks). Baking soda kills bed bugs by drying them out. Let it sit for about a week. After a week, clean the area thoroughly with a vacuum cleaner.

neem leaves

Neem has anti-microbial properties, which keep insects away. Place neem leaves at the hiding place of bedbugs. Bed bugs run away or die due to its smell. You can prepare a spray by mixing neem oil, water and a little camphor powder and sprinkle it on beds, mattresses and sofas.

Vinegar and Baking Soda

Prepare a solution by mixing vinegar and baking soda and fill it in a spray bottle. Spray this mixture in areas where bedbugs are present. A mixture of vinegar and neem oil/neem leaves water can also be used.

peppermint

Bed bugs cannot tolerate the smell of mint. For this, take some mint leaves and keep them near your bed or at the hiding place of bedbugs. After three-four days, remove the old leaves and replace them with new leaves.

warm water and sunshine

Bed bugs cannot tolerate heat. In such a situation, wash your sheets, pillow covers and curtains with hot water and then dry them thoroughly in the sun. Also expose mattresses, pillows and cushions to bright sunlight at least once a week or month.

lavender oil

Lavender oil is also considered effective in getting rid of bed bugs. For this, mix 10 to 15 drops of lavender oil in 50 ml of water and fill it in a spray bottle. Spray this mixture on bed bug infested areas.
