Add some lukewarm water to dilute the curd. Now add 1 spoon mustard oil, cumin, asafoetida and red chilli seasoning to it. Eat raita by adding salt, roasted cumin, chaat masala and boondi as per your choice. Adding tempering changes the texture of curd. Therefore, in winters one should always prepare curd, buttermilk or raita after adding tempering to it.
Bathua Raita- If you want to eat curd or raita in winter, then add such things in it which will make its effect warm. During cold days, prepare Bathua Raita and eat it. For this, dilute the curd. Now boil the bathua, grind it and mix it in raita. Bathua is very hot which balances the taste of curd. Therefore, the body can be kept warm by eating Bathua raita in winter. Eat Bathua raita seasoned with garlic, cumin and red chilli.
Eat fresh curd- In winter you should eat very fresh homemade curd. If you want to avoid cold, then do not keep curd in the fridge even by mistake. In winter, it is better to eat curd in the afternoon rather than eating curd in the morning. You should avoid eating curd at night. In this way, you will not get cold even by eating curd.
Curd and jaggery- Curd should not be eaten with sugar during cold days. Sugar has a cooling effect and when you eat curd and sugar, it can cause coolness in the stomach. Therefore, it would be better to eat curd only after adding jaggery or jaggery sugar in winter. Jaggery has a warming effect, due to which the curd does not cool down and the taste is also rich. Do try curd with jaggery.
