Infrastructure company GR Infraprojects Ltd on Friday (January 16) said it has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for an EPC package related to Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) implementation at NTPC Thermal Power Stations.

The project pertains to Lot-1 of the BESS implementation programme and will be executed at NTPC’s Mouda Super Thermal Power Station in Maharashtra. The financial bid for the project was opened on January 16, 2026, following a tender invited by NTPC.

The total contract price for the project stands at ₹487.78 crore. The scope of work will be executed under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode, with a stipulated completion period of 15 months.

Back in November 2025, GR Infraprojects Ltd said it had received an appointed date of Nov 15, 2025, from Western Railways for a gauge-conversion project in Gujarat’s Vadodara division.

The project covers 38.9 km of gauge conversion between Kosamba and Umarpada and includes earthwork, blanketing, ballast supply, minor and major bridges, station buildings, water and sanitation facilities, platforms, retaining walls, drains, track linking, and works related to 30 road under-bridges (RUBs). The contract excludes the supply of new rails.

The company said the work will be executed under the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) model at a contract value of ₹262.28 crore, with a completion period of 730 days from the appointed date.

Shares of GR Infraprojects Ltd ended at ₹925.40, down by ₹3.30, or 0.36%, on the BSE.
