Starlink has made full preparations to launch its service in India. Elon Musk’s company has decided to build satellite base stations in 9 cities of India. Now another good news related to Starlink has come out. SpaceX has launched 28 Starlink satellites into space. SpaceX has launched these rockets into space through the Falcon 9 rocket. All these 28 satellites have been launched to provide internet connectivity across the world.
With this new mission, SpaceX has launched a total of 10,000 Starlink satellites into space. The company is preparing to provide satellite internet service worldwide. The company has extended its satellite internet service to more than 100 countries. Now the company has made preparations for it in India also. The company has received regulatory permission to start its service in India.
The company’s satellite internet service will be launched after TRAI completes the spectrum allocation process. It is expected that by the end of the year the company will start its satellite internet service in India. The company plans to build Gateway Earth Station, also known as Satellite Base Station, in 9 cities of the country. These base stations will be built in cities adjacent to Delhi like Noida, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Mumbai etc.
Calling will happen without network
After the launch of Elon Musk’s satellite internet service, users will start getting calling and internet facilities even without mobile network. Starlink has tested direct-to-sale technology only last year, in which calling can be done even without any active mobile network. This service will provide calling facility to the users especially during emergency.
In Starlink’s direct-to-sale service, satellite services can also be accessed through users’ ordinary mobile phones. For this, no specific hardware will be required in the phone. The company had proposed to bring foreign technical experts to operate its stations, but the government has made it clear that only Indian citizens will be able to operate these stations until security clearance is obtained from the Home Ministry.
