Know some important things related to warranty
- Most people prefer Storage Geysers for winters as they come in 15–25 liters and provide continuous hot water in cold weather. The warranty on tank and heating element is longer on these.
- The warranty of the inner tank is very important because the repair is expensive if the tank gets damaged, hence one should buy a geyser with glass lined/titanium coated tank, which has a warranty of 7–8 years which is considered better.
- It is important to get at least 2–3 years warranty on the heating element. The geyser runs more in winter, hence the element can get damaged quickly, hence its warranty is necessary.
- Apart from this, installation and service warranty should also be seen. Some companies provide free installation and 6 months–1 year service warranty which comes in handy later on.
- Tank heating element warranty should be checked because only 2 years product warranty will not suffice. If the tank/heater has a good warranty then it is better for long term use.
- Choose capacity as per water requirement and family. For a small family, 5-10 liters of instant or storage is fine and for a large family, 15-25 liters is better.
