CES 2026: The world’s most valuable chip company Nvidia has introduced an amazing open source AI tool at the consumer electronics show CES 2026 in Las Vegas. At CES 2026, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has introduced a super AI tech tool or platform named Alpamayo that will give self-driving cars the power to take decisions like the human brain. This company, which has brought big innovative products in the world of Artificial Intelligence, has brought such technology through which autonomous (self-driving) cars will not only drive but will take self-decisions. This open-source model shown at CES aims to speed up physical AI and challenge competitors like Tesla.

- In the world of physical AI, this open source AI tool Alpamayo will give the power of thinking and reasoning to autonomous cars, which will enable the cars to drive smoothly even in difficult situations.

- With this, self-driving cars will be able to drive easily even in complex situations, adverse environments like storm, rain, storm etc.

Mercedes-Benz will use Alpamayo tool
The presentation by the Nvidia CEO at CES 2026 said that the company is collaborating with Mercedes-Benz to create a driverless car using microcomputers. The car will be launched in the US in the coming months and will be brought to the USA before its launch in Europe and Asia.
The company did real time driving experiment of the tool
It is clearly stated in CES 2026 that open driving data has been extracted through the company’s experiments in which this tool has been tested on autonomous cars in different driving conditions around the world. Under this, there are about 1700 hours of real-time global driving videos which show that this tool helps the cars even in adverse conditions and can take intelligent decisions even on roads, highways and narrow roads. It’s worth noting that Nvidia is also planning to launch a robotaxi service and will also release an energy-efficient Rubin AI chip later this year.
