As the festival of Diwali approaches, the sale of sweets also increases. But adulteration in sweets can prove to be very dangerous for health. This is the reason that before eating sweets, you should check their purity, otherwise you may have to pay for it. Today we will tell you about how to identify adulterated white Rasgulla.

Try pressing the Rasgulla

The texture of white Rasgulla can tell whether the sweet is pure or adulterated. You have to press the white rasgulla, if after pressing the rasgulla takes its previous shape, then the rasgulla is pure. At the same time, if Rasgulla looks hard and sticky, then the possibility of adulteration in the sweet increases.

You can tell by color

The color of real white rasgulla is white. But if the Rasgulla is shiny or thick, it may be adulterated while making it. Rasgulla becomes shiny due to the adulteration of chemical colours. Even though shiny Rasgulla may look more attractive, consuming Rasgulla mixed with chemical colors can badly affect your health.

Try iodine test

Do you know about the iodine test used to detect adulterated sweets? Take a small portion of a Rasgulla and boil it in water. After the water boils, you have to add a few drops of iodine in this water. If the color of the water changes and turns blue or black, then understand that starch has been adulterated in the sweet while making it.
