How to make gram flour cheela

Gram flour is something that is easily available in the kitchen. Many things can be made from it. In such a situation, dishes made from gram flour for breakfast can keep the stomach full for a long time and provide benefits to health. Most people avoid eating fried things for breakfast. If you also want to try something healthy and tasty in breakfast, then gram flour cheela can be the best option for you. It is very easy to make and is ready in 10-15 minutes. material

  • Gram flour: 1 cup
  • Water: About 1 cup (depending on the consistency of the batter)
  • finely chopped onion
  • finely chopped tomatoes
  • finely chopped green chillies
  • grated ginger
  • finely chopped coriander
  • turmeric powder
  • Celery
  • Salt
  • oil/ghee

Method of making gram flour cheela

prepare the batter

Take gram flour in a big bowl. Add salt, turmeric powder, and celery to it. Prepare a smooth batter by adding water little by little. Be careful that there are no lumps in it. The batter should be as thick as idli or dosa batter, but not so thin that it doesn’t spread. Keep the prepared batter covered for 15-20 minutes. Due to this the gram flour will swell and the cheela will become soft.

Now add finely chopped onion, tomato, green chilli, ginger and green coriander to the batter and mix well. If the batter seems too thick then add some water to bring it to the right consistency.

Heat a non-stick tawa or iron pan on medium flame. Apply a little oil or ghee on the pan and spread it all over. Keep the flame medium. Pour a tablespoonful of the batter in the center of the pan and immediately spread it round and thin with the help of a ladle. Add a little oil on the edges and in the middle. When the color of the upper surface of the cheela starts changing slightly and small holes start appearing, turn it carefully. Cook from the other side also until golden. Take out the prepared cheela in a plate and serve it for breakfast.
