How to make amla candy at home

Amla Candy Recipe: Fresh Amla is sold in abundance in the market during winter. In such a situation, people consume it in large quantities because of its nutrients. Consumption of Amla improves the body’s immunity as well as eyesight. In such a situation, when Amla is seen being sold everywhere in the market, people make different types of things from it. Some make Amla chutney and some make Amla murabba. If you want, you can also make candy out of it. Here we have brought an easy recipe of Amla candy with the help of which you can make Amla candy at home instantly.

Ingredients for Making Candy

Amla – 500 grams

Sugar – 300 grams

Water – 1 cup

Salt – ½ tsp

Black salt – 1 tsp

Celery (saunth) – ½ tsp

Asafoetida – 1 pinch

Black pepper – ½ tsp

Lemon juice – 2 tbsp

Turmeric – ½ tsp

Method of preparation

step 1

To make Amla candy, first wash the Amla thoroughly and then remove its seeds and cut them. After this, boil a vessel of water and add chopped gooseberry in it. Let it boil for 10 minutes. Then remove it from water and let it cool.

Step 2

Now add one cup water and sugar in a pan and boil it. When the syrup is ready, add asafoetida, celery, black pepper, turmeric, and salt to it. Let it boil for 5-10 minutes so that the syrup thickens. When the syrup cools down, add lemon juice to it.

Step 3

Now add boiled gooseberry to it and mix well. Let it cook on low flame for 5-10 minutes. Now keep the gooseberry in a tray or plate to dry. Dry it in the sun for 1-2 days.

Step 4

When it dries completely, taste it. You can store it in an airtight container.
