Information about the amazing fraud going on on Flipkart has come to light. The e-commerce platform delivered a refurbished i.e. second hand factory reset laptop to the users when they purchased a new laptop. After this, the user is not getting any help from the customer care of either Flipkart or the laptop brand. The user has shared his ordeal on social media platforms. After this, the customer care of Flipkart and laptop brand has assured the user of help.

What is the matter?

A user named Ankit Tripathi has claimed on the social media platform LinkenIn that he had recently ordered HP company’s gaming laptop HP Victus from Flipkart. He has received a refurbished laptop from Flipkart instead of a new one. The price of this laptop (Rs 64,700) was recovered from the user but it was delivered second hand factory reset refurbished. The user came to know about this when he was activating the warranty of his laptop.

When he contacted the laptop manufacturing company HP to activate its warranty, he received an e-mail from HP stating that it was a refurbished unit and HP does not update the warranty of such products. After this, when the user shared this e-mail with Flipkart, he was asked for a job sheet or denial letter in the name of documents.

When the customer contacted HP for this, they asked to visit the service center. The customer got frustrated by emailing the customer care of HP and Flipkart, after which he took the help of social media platforms. However, after the customer posted on social media, Flipkart and HP customer care sought time to resolve the issue.

Fraud on e-commerce website

However, this is not the first time that a user has received a wrong product or something else in exchange for the purchased product. Earlier too, many users have complained on social media platforms about e-commerce companies sending wrong products or sending bricks, soap etc. in place of the product. When customers contact the customer care of an e-commerce website, they are often made excuses or face difficulty in contacting them.
