CERT-In Warning: India’s Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued an advisory and if you use Google Chrome then it is very important for you to know it. An advisory has been issued by CERT-In regarding several vulnerabilities affecting Google Chrome on different operating systems. CERT-In’s latest bulletin published on Friday highlights the vulnerabilities discovered as high-risk vulnerabilities.
According to this cybersecurity firm, hackers can use these vulnerabilities to remotely carry out cyber attacks on any vulnerable system and through remote access, they can control the activities done through your Google Chrome. Therefore, all individual users and organizations using Google Chrome on Windows, macOS, and Linux have been advised to immediately update their web browser and use its latest version.
CERT-In issues warning for Google Chrome users
In its Advisory Note CIVN-2025-0330, the cybersecurity agency has highlighted two separate vulnerabilities in Google Chrome for Windows, macOS, and Linux. These have been identified as CVE-2025-13223 and CVE-2025-13224 and the risk on them has been ‘Hi’ Has declared. It has been claimed that these vulnerabilities can damage the system and disrupt services.
A cyber attacker sitting far away can also cause harm.
According to the cyber security agency, these flaws could allow a remote cyber attacker to execute arbitrary code on an unprotected computer. This type occurs due to confusion. This is a situation where a piece of code tries to access a source using a data type that mismatches the actual type of the object.
Google has taken safety steps
The tech giant said that it has updated the stable channel for all operating systems and updates with necessary fixes will be released in the coming days and weeks.
