On Tuesday, 68 eminent personalities of India were awarded the Padma Awards at a ceremony organized by President of India Draupadi Murmu in New Delhi. On January 25, on the eve of the 76th Republic Day, the names of a total of 139 eminent personalities of the country were announced for Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.
In this ceremony, some celebrities of the entertainment world were also awarded the Padma Awards. It was a matter of honor of the entire Maharashtra that on 27 May, President Murmu honored acting emperor and Maharashtra Bhushan Ashok Saraf with the Padma Shri Award. The President presented awards to 68 celebrities in the presence of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah at the second civilian honor ceremony of this year held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
In response to ANI, Ashok Saraf said, “It is a matter of happiness, to be honored in this way, this award is a high -level honor, I am happy that I was considered worthy of this award, which means that I have done something in my life”
Earlier on the evening of April 28, 71 people were awarded the Padma Award by the President.
