Ginger Halwa Recipe
Many types of halwa are made and eaten in winter. People like carrot halwa the most in winter. These days people also eat moong dal halwa with great taste. Flour pudding is eaten to avoid cold, but to protect the body from diseases in winter, definitely eat ginger pudding. Ginger pudding helps in keeping the body warm and curing cold, cough and flu. Ginger Halwa Recipe
First step- To make halwa, take 1 liter full cream milk and boil it while stirring continuously till it reduces to half. While the milk is thickening, prepare the rest of the pudding. Peel 100 grams ginger and cut it into pieces. Now put the ginger in a mixer jar and add 1-2 spoons of water and grind it. Ginger has to be prepared by grinding it into a very fine paste.
Second step- Now put about 50 grams of desi ghee in a pan and add 2-3 spoons of flour and fry it. Fry the flour while stirring continuously until it turns brown. Within this time the milk would have thickened to half. Mix ground ginger paste in milk. While stirring, cook it until it thickens. When the mixture cools down slightly, add roasted flour to it.
Third step- Add about 1 cup i.e. 200 grams of sugar or jaggery and add 50 grams more ghee. Mix all the ingredients and fry until the ghee separates. Cook the galva till it releases ghee and eat it by adding ground cardamom on top.
