Microsoft PDF Scanner App
Microsoft is going to remove its special app from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The American tech company has decided to discontinue this useful app from February 9, i.e. from February 9, 2026, users will not be able to download this app from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Also, no update of the app will be released. However, for users who already have this app installed on their phones, it will continue to work.

This app from Microsoft is a free-to-use tool for scanning PDF documents, which is used like a PDF scanner. Microsoft had decided to remove this app from Google and Apple App Stores respectively between mid-November and mid-December. The Microsoft Lens app is still available for download. According to the new report, this app will be completely removed from Google and Apple App Store from February 9, 2026.
The American tech company has made it clear that users who already have Microsoft Lens installed in their phones will be able to create new PDF documents till March 9, 2026. After this this app will not support PDF scanning and creating. The company has urged users to use the OneDrive tool to scan documents and create PDFs from their phones. This Microsoft tool comes with Microsoft 365 and users can also use it for free. Apart from this, users can use other PDF scanner documents for PDF documents.
Earlier last year, the company had stopped supporting Windows 10 and asked users to move to the new operating system Windows 11. Official support of Microsoft Windows 10 has been stopped from October 14, 2025. Now users are not getting security patches, technical fixes or new features on devices running Windows 10.
