OnePlus has introduced many flagship and mid-budget phones in the Indian market this year. The company had introduced OnePlus 13 at the beginning of the year and finally launched OnePlus 15. Normally the company does not launch two flagship phones in the same year. OnePlus 15 is the first device to be launched in India with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The design of the phone is similar to OnePlus 13s. A square shaped camera module is provided in its back panel. We have used this phone for some time. How has been our experience with this phone of OnePlus, let us know…
OnePlus 15: Design and display
The main USP of OnePlus 15 is its design. It looks a lot like the iPhone. The company has introduced it with new design elements like OnePlus 13s. Its design looks better than OnePlus 13. Triple camera setup and LED flash is provided in its back. The camera module of the phone is in square shape. An aluminum frame has been provided around this flagship phone. A new multi-function button Plus Key has been given in place of the alert slider on the left side of the phone. You can use this button for everything from camera to taking screenshots. Apart from the volume rocker, a power button will be found on the right side.

The weight of this OnePlus phone is 215 grams. The weight of the phone is so much that you can use it for single hand operation, that is, you can easily use this phone with one hand. OnePlus 15 has a speaker grill, SIM card slot and USB Type C port at the bottom. I liked the design of this phone a lot. Its look and feel is also good. The company has also provided a soft silicone cover with the phone.
The company has given a 6.78 inch OLED display panel in this phone. The display of the phone is quite attractive and its peak brightness is up to 1800 nits. The display of this phone supports refresh rate up to 165Hz. A superfast in-display fingerprint sensor is available in the phone’s display. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is available for the protection of its display. We found the display of the phone quite pleasant to use. You will have natural color experience while watching a movie or cricket match on the phone. The display of the phone is quite smooth and you can easily open and close multiple apps.

This OnePlus phone is very good for multi-tasking and heavy gaming. We tried opening several apps simultaneously on this phone. Besides, we also got a good gaming experience in it. In terms of performance, it can give tough competition to the flagship phones of Samsung, Apple, and Google.
The company has given a 7,300mAh battery in OnePlus 15. To charge it, 120W SuperVOOC wired and 50W wireless fast charging feature has been provided. It takes about 50 minutes for the phone to charge from 0 to full. At the same time, the battery of the phone gives a backup of 35 to 40 hours on normal use. Even in heavy use, you can use it throughout the day on a single charge. This latest phone from OnePlus works on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. The phone will have OnePlus AI feature based on Google Gemini.

You can click good pictures in sunlight with the phone’s camera. The picture taken from the phone looks quite bright. However, the picture taken is greatly enhanced through AI, due to which it does not look natural. Talking about selfie camera, in this also the image is enhanced through AI. You can use the picture taken from the phone’s selfie camera for social media uploading etc. We found the camera of this phone to be average for a flagship phone.

our decision
We like the design of this phone. Apart from this, we also liked the performance of the phone very much. The company has used a dedicated Wi-Fi chip in it, which enhances connectivity. The phone has the biggest battery ever, due to which you will not need a charger. The company has used plastic body in the phone. Being a flagship phone, metal could have been used in it. The camera of the phone does not justify its price. At this price you will get Google Pixel 9 Pro, which comes with a better camera.
