The ‘Handshek controversy’, which started after the India-Pakistan match, is not taking the name of stopping. PCB had stopped its team from going to the field before the match against UAE. The match started an hour late amidst the controversy and now Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Raza Naqvi has confirmed that Andy Pycroft has apologized for the incident. But former board chairman Najam Sethi has given a new statement, through which he has targeted the Indian team.
Just before the Pakistan vs UAE match, Mohsin Naqvi Najam Sethi and Rameez Raja held a press conference. At the same time, former board chairman Najam Sethi said, “We have always said that politics should not be associated with sports. When I was the chairman, even when I was the chairman and still we have to say the same.”
Screws from India
Najam Sethi, in his statement, took the name of India, “He played politics, but we have not played. We have taken the spirit of the game. We asked for an apology and he apologized. I think people have won, people will appreciate our attitude in international cricket.
After the 7 -wicket victory against Pakistan on 14 September, when Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav was asked a question about this, he said that the team had done this in honor of the dead innocent people and the martyred soldiers in the Pahalgam terror attack. He also told that the decision not to join hands was of the entire team.
