Starlink’s satellite internet service is being eagerly awaited in India. The company is going to start its service in India soon. Even before its launch in India, the users of Elon Musk’s company are increasing rapidly. The company has recently shared data, according to which, the number of active users of Starlink has increased to 9 million i.e. more than 90 lakhs. In the last 7 weeks, the company has added 1 million i.e. 10 lakh new users.

Elon Musk’s company Starlink posted from its X handle that the company has 9 million active users. The company is currently providing its satellite broadband service in 155 countries. The number of users of the company has increased rapidly since November. In the last one week, the company has added 1 million new users. The number of users of the company was 8 million in November. In this way, 20 thousand new users of Starlink broadband service are increasing every day. Starling is selling a new connection every four seconds.
Starlink’s satellite broadband service is dependent on SpaceX’s satellites rotating in LEO i.e. Lower Earth Orbit. The company has launched about 9 thousand satellites in LEO, with the help of which Starlink satellite broadband service is being provided across the world. The company’s internet service is available even in those areas where it is not possible to install mobile towers or lay broadband lines. Superfast internet can be accessed with just one antenna, which can prove to be a game changer.
When will the service be launched in India?
Elon Musk’s company has made full preparations to launch its satellite broadband service in India. The company is setting up base stations in 9 cities of the country. Satellite service will be provided to the users only through these base stations. Signals will be sent to the satellite from these base stations only, after which these signals will be accessible in the user’s Starlink device. Starlink is awaiting spectrum allocation from the government. After the spectrum is allotted, the company will launch the service. Starlink has been given the necessary license for the next 5 years. Recently, details of satellite broadband plan were also revealed from Starlink India’s website, which the company termed as a technical glitch.
