UP government developing app for AYUSH services in collaboration with IIT Kanpur
The Uttar Pradesh government is developing an app for AYUSH services in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. This information has been given in an official statement. According to this, through this app, patients will not only be able to take an appointment with a doctor sitting at home with the help of their mobile phone but will also be able to get information related to AYUSH medical systems like Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.
What did the Principal Secretary of AYUSH Department tell?
Principal Secretary of AYUSH Department, Ranjan Kumar said that talks are being held with IIT Kanpur to develop AYUSH app. He said that after the release of the app, patients will not need to stand in long lines for OPD registration in hospitals and AYUSH centers and patients will be able to take doctor’s appointment while sitting at home through their mobile. According to Ranjan Kumar, this will save time and also reduce crowding in hospitals. Ranjan Kumar also said that this facility will provide a lot of relief especially to the elderly, women and patients coming from remote areas. According to the statement, through the app, patients will get detailed information related to AYUSH medical systems like Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy.
In future, many more services will be added to AYUSH app.
According to the future upgrades of this app, it will also have the facility to save tele-consultations, online reports and digital health records and facility of expert medical guidance at home. Through this, public confidence in AYUSH system will increase. Designed to be easy to use, the app will be secure, fast and reliable ensuring the security of patients’ data.
