The dustbin kept in the kitchen of the house is used many times throughout the day. In such a situation, it is very important to take care of its cleanliness. But many times people clean the entire house and forget to clean the dustbin. In such a situation, it starts smelling due to the moisture of old garbage, vegetable peels, closed lids. Due to its foul smell, working in the kitchen is also very difficult. The smell emanating from the dustbin spreads not only in the kitchen but in the entire room. In such a situation, it is very important to clean it from time to time. Here we are going to tell you about some easy home remedies with the help of which you can clean the dustbin easily.

Vinegar and Detergent

You can use vinegar and detergent to clean the dustbin and remove odor. For this take a mug of hot water. Add vinegar (white vinegar) and some dish detergent (dish soap) to it. Apply this solution thoroughly inside and outside the dustbin and leave it for 5-10 minutes. Wearing gloves, clean your hands by rubbing them with a brush or sponge. Then wash with clean water and dry in the sun (drying in the sun kills bacteria).

baking soda

Baking soda is an excellent natural cleaner and odor removing agent. For this, sprinkle some baking soda inside the dustbin. Then with the help of a brush or sponge, add some detergent and rub it. Finally wash with warm water and dry. This will kill all the bacteria and the smell will also go away.

Lemon peel and hot water

Put lemon or orange peels in water and boil it. Wash and clean the dustbin with this hot water. This will remove the dirt as well as the smell.

These tips will also get rid of bad smell

  • Sprinkle a cup of baking soda on the bottom of the dustbin before putting out the garbage. When the dustbin is full, you can sprinkle some baking powder on top.
  • To absorb odors, place a small bowl filled with coffee beans near the dustbin. It does not smell like garbage.
