Most of the people like Semolina and Moong Dal Halwa. But have you eaten gram flour halwa? The granular halwa of gram flour leaves behind even the semolina and moong dal halwa in taste. Its taste is so good that if you eat it once, you will demand to make it every day. So, let us tell you how to make this sweet and flavourful recipe of gram flour?

Ingredients for making gram flour pudding

200 grams gram flour, half cup desi ghee, one and a half cup sugar, cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios, raisins and saffron.

How to make gram flour halwa?

  • first stepTo make gram flour halwa, first turn on the gas. Place a pan on the gas. Add half cup desi ghee in the pan. Now add 200 grams of gram flour in this ghee and fry it well. Roast the gram flour until it turns red. Fry the gram flour only on medium flame otherwise it may burn.

  • second step: Turn on the gas on the other side and place a pan. Add 2 spoons of ghee. Now add finely chopped dry fruits like cashews, almonds, pistachios and raisins. When they turn light red, remove them.

  • third step: Now place a vessel on the gas and add 1 glass of water in it and let it heat. When the water becomes hot, add one and a half cups of sugar in it. When the syrup thickens, turn off the gas.

  • Fourth step: When the gram flour turns completely red, add the syrup to it and mix well. Keep stirring continuously so that there are no lumps in the halwa.

  • Fifth step: Now add a glass of water to the halwa and fry it on medium flame. Sweet gram flour pudding will be ready in 10 minutes. Now add roasted dry fruits in it. Hot gram flour halwa is ready to serve.
