Apple Phone Launch Event Strategy: All the phones of Apple’s iPhone 18 series may not be launched simultaneously, as we have told you in an earlier report. Now Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman has again given important news on the launch of Apple’s iPhone series phones. According to Mark Gurman’s report, Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro models may be launched next year, while the base iPhone 18 model may not hit the market before 2027. The tech giant is expected to introduce entirely new handset designs in the next few years, including its first foldable phone and an entirely new high-end phone. The big thing is that Apple is bringing a big change in its launch strategy and instead of an annual event, it will now launch 2-3 or 4-5 phones in the market in a year. Mark Gurman has also given the reason behind this.
iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and Apple’s first foldable phone model to be launched in winter next year
Mark Gurman has told in the latest newsletter that from the year 2026, the launch of iPhone will start in two parts and it will start with the iPhone 18 series. Under Apple’s new phone release strategy, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and Apple’s first foldable phone may arrive in September or October in the winter of 2026. After this, other models of iPhone 18 can be launched in the year 2027 such as normal iPhone 18, iPhone 18E and maybe iPhone Air can also be launched. This launch may happen in March or April of 2027.
Launching process is being distributed instead of annual event.
In this way, instead of holding the annual event in September or October every year, Apple is distributing its phone launch work so that the curiosity that people have about its phones can be capitalized on. According to Mark Gurman, the company is now considering changing the way Apple has made its schedule for the release of its smartphones. This is because Apple’s normal process of preparing for the launch before the September quarter alone, the highest sales pressure of the year, had put a lot of pressure on engineering teams, suppliers and marketing teams.
This may also have contributed to difficulties such as the sudden start of Apple Intelligence in 2024, which revealed how busy the Winter Cycle had become. Now, by spreading out the launch schedule over two phases starting in 2026, Apple can hope to avoid these serious hurdles and focus more on each device.
