Banke Bihari Temple
Banke Bihari Temple of Vrindavan is very famous. This temple is dedicated to ‘Banke Bihari’, a form of Lord Krishna. This temple is very famous all over the world and is visited by lakhs of devotees every year, especially on festivals like Janmashtami and Holi. Apart from festivals, there is a huge crowd of people to come to this temple. So many people come to see Banke Bihari that a crowd of devotees is visible from the courtyard of the temple to the streets outside. Seeing such crowd, many times people cancel their plans to go here. But do you know that there are some times and months when there is relatively less crowd in the temple and you can comfortably visit Banke Bihari. Let us know at what time you can see this beautiful form of Lord Krishna?
Best time to visit to avoid crowd
Morning time is considered to be the calmest time for darshan without crowd. If you go to visit the temple as soon as it opens, the crowd is not yet fully gathered outside. At the time of evening darshan, one can get a glimpse of God in less crowd. Less people come on weekdays like Monday-Thursday as compared to weekends, so you can also choose this day.
Which months of the year are favourable?
From November to February, this is the time when the weather here is pleasant and the crowd is less. Even after the festivals, there is a reduction in the crowd of devotees, so you can go during this time also. Also, during monsoon time the temperature is high due to which the humidity is high, so if you want to visit without crowd then this time is also suitable.
Also keep these things in mind during darshan:
-
Try to reach there shortly after the temple opens in the morning so that you do not get missed.
-
But if you find crowd in the streets of the temple then walk slowly instead of walking quickly. This will make you feel peaceful without getting trapped in the crowd.
-
The number of people is less in the late morning or evening. But the queues can still take time, so carry some water and light snacks with you.
-
Photography is prohibited in some parts of the temple, so check the temple rules in advance.
