IDC has shared the list of best selling smartphone brands in India. Brands like Samsung and Xiaomi have suffered a major setback in the third half of the year. Both these brands, which were on top for the last few years, have lagged behind. At the same time, Apple’s market share has increased rapidly and it has been included in the list of top-5 smartphone brands of India. At the same time, brands like Oppo, Motorola, OnePlus have also captured good market share.
Vivo’s influence continues
According to the new report of IDC, most people in India are using Vivo smartphones. In the third quarter report of the year, Vivo has shipped the maximum number of phones in India. The company’s market share is 18.3 percent. Vivo has remained on top continuously for the last few quarters. At the same time, Xiaomi’s market share has started decreasing. The market share of the company which was at the top till last year has come down to just 9.2% and Xiaomi has dropped out of the top-2 and has reached the sixth position. At one time Xiaomi’s market share was up to 23%. The Chinese brand is now out of the list of top-5 brands.
Apart from Xiaomi, the condition of Samsung is also bad. The market share of the South Korean brand is now just 12.6%. Samsung has now reached third place in terms of shipping smartphones in India. Another Chinese brand Oppo has grown rapidly in the Indian market. The brand, which was never even included in the top-5, has reached second place with 13.9 percent market share.

Increased demand for iPhones
Apple’s market share has also increased rapidly in the recent past. Due to the increasing craze of iPhone, Apple’s market share has increased rapidly to 10.4 percent. With this, Apple has become the fourth largest smartphone sharing brand in India. At the same time, the market share of Realme has also decreased. Realme’s market share in the third quarter of the year was 9.8% and the Chinese brand has become the fifth largest company to ship smartphones in India.
Talking about other brands, Motorola is at seventh place with 8.3% market share. Apart from this, Poco is at number eight with 4.3% market share. iQOO’s market share is 3.3% and the Chinese brand is at number nine. Apart from this, OnePlus’ market share is 2.4% and the company is at tenth position in terms of shipping smartphones in India.
