How to plant tuberose plant at home?

  • To plant tuberose plant, choose a pot 8 inches deep. It should also have holes for drainage. Use well-drained soil in the pot, in which you can mix sand, cow dung manure or coco peat with the soil.

  • Tuberose grows from tubers so choose fresh tubers. Plant the tubers in pots 4 to 6 inches deep. Keep a distance of about 6 inches between two tubers. The plant needs sunlight for at least 5-6 hours a day, so keep it in a place where direct sunlight comes.

  • Provide some water every day, but take care that water does not accumulate. When the soil starts drying, water again, but do not water too much. Add cow dung manure or coco peat every 20-25 days so that new buds appear in the plant.

  • Prune faded flowers and yellow leaves regularly so that new leaves can grow easily. Keep an eye out for problems like insects.
