iQOO 15 India Launch: The launch date of iQOO 15 in India has been confirmed and it will enter India on 26th November. It will be equipped with OriginOS 6 on Android 16. A new report claims that iQOO 15 will get 5 years of OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates. This sub-brand of Vivo has confirmed that it will launch in the market in Alpha (Black) and Legend (White) shades. It will come with a 2K resolution 144Hz display and will also have the strong support of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. It will be similar to its Chinese counterpart which was launched in October.
iQOO 15 will give 5 years operating system upgrade
According to the report of Smartprix, iQOO 15, which is set to be launched in India on November 26, will not only provide 5 years of operating system upgrade to its users, but will also provide 7 years of security updates. The company claims that it has taken this decision on the basis of user feedback and the aim behind this is to provide long term support to its users.
The company is continuously providing OS upgrades
The company’s current handset, which is present in the market under the name of iQOO 13, is currently available with FuntouchOS 15 and is based on Android 15. In this also the company has guaranteed 4 years of OS upgrade and five years of security updates. Earlier this year, the company had extended the software support policy for its iQOO 12 phone. Under this, the company provided four years of Android version updates and five years of security patches to the customers buying iQOO 12.
What will be special in the Indian variant of iQOO 15?
The Indian variant of the iQOO 15 is confirmed to have a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 onboard storage as well as a dedicated Q3 gaming chip. Available in Alpha (Black) and Legend (White) colors, the phone will come with a 2K 144Hz display and an 8,000 sq mm single-layer vapor chamber for thermal management.
