room heater
Room Heater Safety Tips: Winter has started and the cold that keeps the room heaters running has not started yet, but it seems that the cold that runs the room heaters is coming in the coming days. If you also have a heater, then take it out and check whether its wiring, plug and heating rod are working properly or not. Even if you do not have a heater and are planning to buy one, it is important to keep some special things in mind before running it.
1. While running the heater, the room should not be completely closed and there should be some space left for air flow or ventilation, otherwise the oxygen in the room will reduce and you may have trouble breathing.
2. Keep the space around the heater level and also keep the heater on a flat place so that there is no risk of it losing balance. If the level of the heater is to be in front of the level of your bed, then you can keep it on a table but by placing a tile or a piece of stone on top of it, balance it and eliminate the risk of fire.
3. One should not sleep with the heater running overnight as it can cause carbon monoxide gas to accumulate in the room which can cause suffocation. Many such incidents have been seen where the family who slept with the heater running all night did not realize it in their sleep and they ended up dying due to lack of oxygen. That is why, a few hours before sleeping at night, heat the room by turning on the heater and then switch it off so that you do not get scared.
4. Never keep the heater near water because this electric device is hot and electricity is continuously transmitted in it, so it is important for you to completely avoid touching water. Do not keep the heater near the bathroom or any other water source.
5. Place the heater in the middle of the room so that it can heat the entire room evenly and do not keep it too close to your body so that there is no fear of burning your skin.
6. Another important thing to keep in mind about the room heater is to keep it out of the reach of children and for this, tell them in advance that they should not go near it. If the children are very small, make sure that the children are away from the heater before turning it on.
