Lenskart AI Powered Glasses: The country’s famous eyewear company Lenskart is preparing to launch AI equipped ‘smart’ glasses in December. It is about to introduce India’s first AI powered glasses and plans to launch AI equipped ‘smart’ glasses by the end of December. This information has been given by people familiar with the case of AI equipped glasses of Lenskart Solutions Limited, a retail seller of glasses and lenses. Internally at the company, it is currently called ‘Be by Lenskart SmartGlasses’. These Artificial Intelligence equipped glasses are expected to be able to make UPI payments along with providing other information related to health and welfare.
Lenskart’s smart glasses will be developed on Gemini 5
The price of these ‘smart’ glasses developed on Gemini 5 has not been decided yet. “These ‘smart glasses’ aim to bring artificial intelligence (AI) and finance into the ‘wear’ experience where your glasses will be not only for vision but also for interaction and convenience,” said one of the people with knowledge of the matter. It is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen-1 platform. This is a ‘chipset’. Contacted Lenskart to get information about this but did not receive any response from them.
The price of AI smart glasses will be according to the needs of Indian customers.
Since Lenskart is launching India’s first AI powered smart glasses, it is eyeing the rapidly growing smart eyewear market, hence the company will focus on keeping the pricing of its AI smart glasses rational and reasonable. In the smart eyewear market, its direct competition may be with Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses and Amazon Echo E-Frames, but being an Indian company, Lenskart is expected to get a slightly higher advantage.
Lenskart is going to enter the stock market
Lenskart’s IPO is currently open and will remain open till November 4. After the IPO, the listing of its shares will be done on November 10 and only after this, Lenskart’s smart glasses are expected to hit the market.
