When the real reason for this came out, everyone was surprised. The pink color phone is not a new color of Apple but it was created because of the way people clean their iPhones. The Apple-focused tech site reported that the iPhone 17 Pro’s chassis is made of anodized aluminum and is likely to be modified with an artificial oxide layer and color. When the oxide layer comes in contact with a peroxide-based cleaner, it reacts with the solvent beneath the metal. This is the reason why when many people cleaned their phones with such cleaners, the glass-backed panels of their phones remained orange while the metallic panels looked pink.

Apple Support has said that to clean the iPhone, use either 70 percent isopropyl alcohol wipe, 70 percent ethyl alcohol wipe or Clorex disinfecting wipes. You clean the outer surface of your phone very gently. Do not use products that contain bleach or hydrogen peroxide. Avoid exposing any open areas to moisture and do not submerge your iPhone in any cleaning agent. After cleaning, wipe it with a clean dry cloth.
