To connect to a free Wi-Fi network, an ordinary password is required. In many places, public Wi-Fi is kept on open network, due to which anyone will be able to use the internet on their device.
Why is free Wi-Fi dangerous?
As the name suggests, anyone can connect their device through public Wi-Fi. In such a situation, it is a game for hackers to break into these free Wi-Fi. By entering the free Wi-Fi service, they can easily send viruses or malware to the connected device. This is why there is a risk of data theft and hacking in public Wi-Fi.
Since public Wi-Fi services are free, its security updates are ignored, due to which hackers get the opportunity to enter the devices of connected users. People using internet through public Wi-Fi should not access their e-mail, banking etc. services through free Wi-Fi.
