Morning breakfast should always be healthy and heavy. Today we have brought for you a special recipe made from moong dal. Moonglate is a delicious and nutritious recipe made from moong dal and vegetables. Moonglate is a recipe which is not only tasty but is also very beneficial for health. If you want to lose weight fast, then definitely include this recipe in your diet.

Ingredients to make Moonglets:

Moong dal 1 cup, piece of ginger, half teaspoon cumin, salt as per taste, a pinch of asafoetida, turmeric powder half teaspoon, rice flour one tablespoon, one chopped green chilli, half chopped onion, half chopped capsicum, sweet corn two spoons, 1 spoon eno fruit salt, one spoon butter – 1 spoon, oil – 1 spoon

How to make Moonglets

  • First of all, soak the moong dal for 4-5 hours. After the stipulated time, take out the soaked moong dal from water in the mixer jar and grind it very finely. Add a piece of ginger to it and grind it.

  • Put the paste in a big bowl and add one tablespoon of rice flour to it and beat it well for 5 minutes. (Adding rice flour makes moonglets crispy)

  • Now add chopped vegetables like carrot, sweet corn, onion and capsicum and mix together again. Now add a little turmeric, half teaspoon cumin, finely chopped green chillies, 2 pinches of asafoetida and mix well again.

  • Finally add 1 teaspoon eno fruit salt and mix it well. Leave the batter like this for 10 minutes. Now, turn on the gas and heat some butter in a non-stick pan and spread it all around and then add the mung bean batter into it.

  • Cook the moonglets on medium flame until they turn golden brown. Keep it covered so that the mung beans get cooked well. It is quite fluffy so it should be cooked well from both the sides. Serve Moonglets hot and enjoy
