Sabudana Khichdi
To make sago khichdi, sago has to be soaked for a few hours. But sometimes people forget to soak sago in water. If you are fasting and you forget to soak the sago, then there is no need to worry. By following this very easy recipe, you can make healthy and tasty sago khichdi without even soaking it.
First step- First of all, take one and a half cup of sago and wash it thoroughly twice. Now put the sago in a steel tiffin greased with desi ghee.
Second step- You can also add half spoon sugar and salt in this tiffin. If you have taken one and a half cup of sago, then add 3-5 spoons of water in this tiffin.
Third step- You have to mix all these things well and keep this tiffin in the cooker. Also put potatoes and water in the cooker.
Fourth step- 1/4th of the tiffin should be immersed in water. Finally, after putting the lid of the tiffin, close the cooker and let it whistle for 4 whistles.
Fifth step- After this, finely chop 2 green chillies, coriander and ginger. Now turn off the gas of the cooker and after some time take out the tiffin of potatoes and sago.
Sixth step- Take out the sago in a sieve and wash it so that the sago grains get separated. Now peel and cut the potatoes.
Seventh step- Put desi ghee in the cooker, roast the peanuts and separate them. After this, add cumin seeds, curry leaves in the cooker and then add green chillies and ginger.
Eighth step- Finally, put sago in the cooker and cook it for about a minute and then mix chopped potatoes, sugar, rock salt and peanuts in it.
Ninth step- Your Sabudana Khichdi is ready to serve. You can garnish Sabudana Khichdi with finely chopped green coriander.
