The BSNL 4G service has been officially launched. As soon as the 4G service of BSNL is launched, more than 9 crore users of the company will get the benefit. PM Modi has launched BSNL’s 4G service from Odisha, in which service has been started through about 98 thousand 4G mobile tower of the company. The company will work to install about 1 lakh and new 4G mobile towers. The question is also coming to your mind that while Airtel, Jio, VI are launching 5G service, why BSNL has launched 4G after so many years?

How is it different from private companies?

Explain that BSNL’s 4G network is completely different from private companies. The government telecom company has fully expressed confidence in indigenous technology, due to which the company has been delayed in rolling 4G service. At the same time, companies like Jio, Airtel, VI used foreign technology to launch 4G service. Apart from this, the 4G network of BSNL is completely 5G ready, due to which it can be upgraded to 5G soon.

Recently, a senior BSNL official has claimed that by the end of 2025, BSNL’s 5G service will be launched in Metro cities like Delhi and Mumbai. In such a situation, users will soon get the benefit of 5G service based on indigenous technology. This 5G Ready 4G network of BSNL is designed with the help of C-DOT, Tejas Network and TCS. From network gear to radio and software integration, designed by indigenous companies.

Better coverage in many states

The 4G network of BSNL has been funded under the Central Government’s Digital Bharat Nidhi Scheme. The government telecom company has achieved 90 to 98% coverage of 4G in South Indian states like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. In such a situation, BSNL is ready to fully compete with private companies in terms of connectivity.

Even after the launch of BSNL’s 4G service, there are many big challenges ahead. The government company, which has lost the trust of users in the last decade, is currently in the era of Reviv. The government has decided to make BSNL stand again to compete with private companies. Emphasis is being laid on network upgradation, so that users can get better connectivity.

If the company launches 5G service in the next few months, then it will be a cheaper option to compete with private companies. BSNL’s plans are cheaper by 40% than private companies, due to which users can move towards BSNL.
