How to book full train online
The wedding season is about to begin. In such a situation, if you want to book the entire train or coach, then you cannot book it from IRCTC website or app. For this, there is a special website, through which you can easily book the entire train or a full coach of a train. Generally, people take advantage of this facility to move a procession from one city to another during the wedding season. Train coaches are beneficial compared to bus or road transport.
Where to book the entire train or coach?
The official online ticket booking platform of Indian Railways has separated a FTR or Full Tariff Rate Website for booking the entire train or coach (https://www.ftr.irctc.co.in/ftr/) Launch.
- On this website, you have to create your account first.
- After this you have to log in.
- After logging in, check your root train in the list of trains given.
- Then choose the cities you want to book a train or coach.
- After this you have to pay.
- Apart from IRCTC’s full tariff rate (FTR) website, you can get information about it from the nearest railway station.
Keep these things in mind
Limited trains of each zone have been listed on the IRCTC FTR website to book the entire train or coach. You will not be able to book coaches or entire train of any premium train such as Rajdhani, Duronto, Shatabdi, Vande Bharat etc. here. Mail/Express and Intercity Trains have been generally listed on the website. You can choose trains only from the given list.
Apart from this, you cannot book any train coach or entire train during the festival and peak season. According to the IRCTC website, you will not be able to book any train or train coach from 13 October 2025 to 4 November 2025 and 25 February 2026 to 11 March 2026. Due to Diwali and Holi, Railways have banned booking of train coaches or train during this period.
From the IRCTC FTR website, you can book the train charter i.e. the entire train and coach charter i.e. the special saloon charter i.e. Saloon coach. You will have to pay a registration charge of Rs 50,000 per coach. Apart from this, the stoppage and distance will be charged.
